This kit integrates new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continually cools and refreshes the brake pad surface under braking. All calipers feature a one-piece construction from aircraft-grade billet aluminum, offering lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. They include aluminum pistons for better heat resistance and uncompromised operation. The opposed piston caliper design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs. Stainless steel brake lines are standard, preventing expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel. The kit utilizes two-piece rotors to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, with many applications offering a floating disc option to prevent warping under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris efficiently. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-focused use. Ksport Big Brake kits come with CNC machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct bolt-up to the OEM caliper bracket location. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. Calipers are available in standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with premium high-polish finishes and over 20,000 custom color options also available.
