The Bikeman Performance High Performance Camshaft is a custom-designed upgrade for the Polaris Pro R RZR, offering a significant boost in power. This specific Stage 3 Forced Induction cam is designed for boost levels ranging from 8 to 20psi. It functions effectively with a non-ported cylinder head and stock valve springs, utilizing wider lobe separation and short duration to build cylinder pressure. However, it is crucial to note that this cam requires a Brian Crower spring and retainer kit. Additionally, due to high lobe lift, valve guides and BC valve seals must be replaced to prevent retainer-to-guide contact, which can cause damage. The use of aftermarket pistons with proper valve reliefs is mandatory, as stock OE pistons are incompatible due to potential piston-to-valve contact. Installation of this camshaft requires a mandatory Hard Flash ECU tune. Professional installation is recommended, following Polaris specifications or utilizing prior engine experience. It is also essential to use new camshaft bolts during installation. After installation and the ECU hard flash, specific startup procedures, different from the service manual, must be followed, including rolling the engine over by hand and carefully bringing the engine up to temperature and then gradually down to idle.
