The Dexter Axle K23-342-00 is a 12" x 2" hydraulic free-backing brake assembly designed for 7,000 lb trailer axles. It is available for the Left Hand (LH) or Right Hand (RH) side. The free-backing design allows the trailer to roll freely in reverse without brake drag, which is essential for backing down boat ramps and for precise maneuvering.

This brake assembly is intended for use with surge (hydraulic) brake actuator systems and is suitable for boat trailers, car haulers, and equipment trailers. It includes the backing plate, shoes, wheel cylinder, springs, and hardware, making it a complete assembly ready for installation. The product is manufactured by Dexter Axle in the USA.
