Blue Ox custom-designs and manufactures the BX1766 baseplate for flat towing, which bolts directly into the chassis and is engineered to use as many attachment points as possible. It features removable tabs for a clean look when not towing, requires no welding for installation, and is hidden beneath the vehicle body. The baseplate weighs 35 lbs, has a tab height of 22-3/4", a tab width of 20-1/2", and uses e-coat immersion and powder coat for superior durability and corrosion protection. It is designed to flex and absorb shock, spreading weight evenly to minimize pressure on the suspension, and comes with a three-year limited warranty.
