BTR 5.3 Hot Rod Camshaft

The Brian Tooley Racing BTR 5.3 Hot Rod Camshaft is engineered for LS-based 4.8L and 5.3L displacement truck engines, offering a significant performance upgrade. With its specifications of 217/23X intake/exhaust duration, .619"/.607" lift, and a 114 LSA, this camshaft provides an aggressive idle characteristic while still managing to maintain good street manners. This camshaft is designed to produce an additional 20+ HP at peak compared to the Truck Norris camshaft, making it an excellent choice for swapping these engines into lighter car platforms or for truck/SUV applications that utilize a 2800+ RPM stall converter. The lobes were developed in-house by BTR and rigorously tested on Spintron and Engine Dyno equipment to ensure the highest overall power curve, combined with strict valvetrain stability and durability standards. Available in kit options, the BTR 5.3 Hot Rod Camshaft package includes the camshaft itself, a BTR Platinum .660" Dual Spring kit featuring titanium retainers, valve seals, and 7.400" Chromoly Pushrods with a 5/16" x .080" wall. This camshaft is compatible with 1999-2013 LS-based engines, specifically fitting 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L displacements. The specific engine families it fits include LM7, LC9, LMG, LMF, LR4, L59, and L33.
