Butterfly Brace v2.1

The Flyin' Miata Butterfly Brace v2.1 is an enhanced chassis rigidity upgrade for NA and NB Miatas, designed to significantly improve suspension performance and ride quality. By increasing torsional rigidity, this brace prevents chassis flex, which can alter suspension geometry under load and lead to a less predictable ride. A stiffer chassis provides a solid foundation, allowing the suspension to function optimally for better handling and a more comfortable experience. This v2.1 design builds upon the original, offering more ground clearance, improved effectiveness, and easier installation. It ties directly into the front subframe mount points and provides more room for fuel and brake lines than its predecessor. The brace is constructed from stainless steel, eliminating concerns about rust, and adds a low, central weight of 33 lbs. It is fully compatible with factory front and rear subframe braces, though cars equipped with the "Sport" undercar bracing will need to remove two central cross braces. The differences between the v2.0 and v2.1 are minor, primarily focused on consistent quality and interchangeability. The installation process is described as dramatically easier than previous designs. While it includes mounting points for a flat undertray, one is not currently available. For owners of Flyin' Miata version 2.0 frame rails, the butterfly brace can be added as an upgrade. However, older versions of Flyin' Miata frame rails are not directly compatible without welding in mounting plates. This version of the butterfly brace fits 1990-1996, 1999-2005 Miatas, including the MSM models. It does not require emissions equipment and comes with a 1-year warranty.
