Overview

The Amsoil BMK34 is a single-remote bypass oil filtration system designed for Cummins 5.0, 5.9, and 6.7L engines. It works in conjunction with the engine's full-flow oil filter to trap extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters cannot remove. The system filters approximately 10 percent of the oil pump's capacity at any one time, ensuring the engine continuously receives analytically clean oil.

The Amsoil BMK34 Single-Remote Bypass System is engineered to provide superior filtration for Cummins 5.0L, 5.9L, and 6.7L engines. This system complements the engine's primary full-flow oil filter by operating on a "partial-flow" basis. It extracts approximately 10% of the oil pump's capacity, specifically targeting and trapping microscopic, wear-inducing contaminants that standard filters often miss. By continuously filtering the engine oil multiple times per hour, the Amsoil Ea Bypass Oil Filter (EaBP) ensures that the engine operates with analytically clean oil, significantly reducing wear and extending oil life. Installation requires checking the top of the full-flow oil filter housing for two plugs. The system includes fittings to replace one plug. If both plugs are not accessible, the optional aluminum filter adapter, part number BK1104, must be ordered separately. Amsoil recommends performing a complete oil and filter change concurrently with the installation of this bypass system. Improper installation can lead to serious system and/or engine damage. This kit is specifically designed for the 5.0, 5.9, and 6.7L Cummins engines. A dual kit is not available for these engines, but the BMK-21 can be used on pre-2002 engines.
