C5 Supercharger System

The A&A Corvette C5 Supercharger System is a centrifugal supercharger system engineered for 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 models equipped with the 5.7L LS1 engine. This system provides a practical and efficient solution for dramatic power increases, unlike aggressive naturally aspirated builds that often compromise drivability. It maintains smooth idle quality, strong low-speed performance, and overall drivability without the drawbacks associated with large camshafts or extensive supporting modifications. At the core of this system is a large blow-off valve that remains open during cruising and light throttle conditions. This allows the supercharger to freewheel, significantly reducing parasitic loss to levels comparable to or even lower than an alternator during normal driving. With an average gain of approximately 175 RWHP, it offers one of the most effective performance upgrades for the C5 platform. Users can select from different supercharger head unit options, including the Si-Trim (ideal for stock or mildly modified engines, capable of up to ~650 RWHP), T-Trim (for higher output applications up to ~750 RWHP), and the YSi-Trim (for extreme performance builds, not recommended for stock piston engines). Head unit options include the V-2, an oil-fed design using engine oil, or the V-3, a self-contained system with its own oil supply; both feature helical cut gears for quiet operation. Proper tuning and supporting modifications are required for optimal performance and reliability. System selection should be based on specific horsepower goals and engine configuration.
