The JL Audio C7-650cw represents the pinnacle of JL Audio's automotive loudspeaker engineering, designed for discerning audiophiles. This 6.5-inch component woofer is sold individually, allowing for flexible system configurations. It is engineered to be a critical part of a multi-way system, capable of operating in either a 3-way setup with a dedicated midrange and tweeter, or a 2-way configuration with just a tweeter. The C7-650cw boasts advanced design technologies. Its cone and dust cap are constructed from a vacuum-formed, mineral-filled polypropylene material, chosen for its superior damping characteristics and low mass, contributing to precise sound reproduction. The woofer's motor design incorporates a high-density magnetic circuit utilizing a high-grade neodymium magnet and a specially machined U-Yoke topology, ensuring robust performance and efficient power transfer. This component woofer has a continuous power handling of 125 watts RMS and is recommended for use with amplifiers delivering between 50 and 175 watts. For optimal performance and integration, JL Audio's C7 component speakers, including the C7-650cw woofer, C7-350cm midrange, and C7-100ct tweeter, are designed to work together with an active crossover. This setup allows for precise control over each driver's frequency range, delivering an uncompromised audio experience.
