Overview

This kit integrates new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads. The caliper is CNC machined from aircraft quality billet, weighs just over 5 lbs each, and features an opposed piston design for improved pad wear and rigidity. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel wear plates.

By integrating advanced brake technology, these kits effectively reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling of the brake pads during braking. The caliper itself is a lightweight, one-piece design, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet. Each caliper weighs just over 5 lbs and features a differential bore configuration with built-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard on every caliper are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and significantly increases caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Stainless-steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure, ensuring consistent braking performance. The kit utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly for reduced rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping. Ksport's unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise while efficiently expelling gas and pad debris. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are best suited for track use. Note that Ksport Big Brake kits generally fit 2WD vehicles only.
