The CalTracs MX 6800-MX Traction Bar Kit is specifically designed for 1967–1973 Mercury Cougar models equipped with leaf spring rear suspension. This MX system offers enhanced adjustability and precise launch control, ensuring the CalTracs bars remain level under load. It is an ideal solution for race cars requiring superior traction performance with small tire setups. The kit features 12-setting MX 3-hole rear mounts and 4-hole pivot plates, ensuring NHRA safety compliance by keeping the bars above the rim line. The robust chromoly preload link, fitted with ¾ inch Heim joints, is rated to withstand up to 14,000 lbs of force. All components are finished with a durable powder coating for corrosion resistance. The installation is fully bolt-on, requiring no welding.
