CalTracs Truck Traction System

The Calvert CalTracs Truck (5710) is a specialized bolt-on traction system engineered for trucks featuring axles positioned below the leaf springs. It provides full pre-load adjustability, crucial for maintaining proper pinion angle and preventing spring wrap-up, thereby enhancing 60-foot times. The system is constructed with a Chromoly preload link for strength and minimal flex, complemented by HD Rod Ends rated for over 14,000 pounds of radial static load capacity. Key components include two-piece aluminum front spring eye bushings for a rigid front pivot and 5/16-inch mild steel rear mounts designed to withstand significant torque, ensuring the rear end remains stable. The traction bars come with a black powdercoated finish. A full-color installation guide is included with the complete set, which typically contains rear mounts, pivot plates, Heim joints/rod ends, and force transfer links. This specific application is designed for the 2004-2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Regular Cab. The system utilizes the existing U-bolts and leaf springs.
