The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy XR 258HR-10 camshaft is engineered for Small Block Chevrolet engines that were originally equipped with hydraulic roller cams and are set up for carbureted applications. Key specifications include an advertised duration of 258 degrees intake and 264 degrees exhaust, with a duration of 206 degrees intake and 212 degrees exhaust at 0.050 lift. The valve lift is rated at 0.480 inches for the intake and 0.487 inches for the exhaust. The camshaft features a 110-degree lobe separation angle and is intended for an operating RPM range of 1000 to 5000 RPM. It is important to note that lifters are not included with this camshaft. Installation considerations for this camshaft include the requirement to use a bronze tip fuel pump pushrod when utilizing a high-pressure or high-volume fuel pump.
