This low-lift cam utilizes LS6 valve springs and is designed to be a cost-effective upgrade for those seeking enhanced performance. Key specifications include a 228/232 duration with .550"/.550" lift and a 110+5 LSA. It is best suited for 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L engines featuring Cathedral Port Heads. To achieve its full potential, a desired compression ratio of 9.5:1 or higher is recommended. Installation requires GM LS6 valvesprings and an aftermarket stall converter with a rating of 2800+ RPM. Additionally, for optimal performance, upgraded rear gears of 3.23 or higher are advised. The operating RPM range for this camshaft is 1800-6500 RPM. This camshaft promises substantial gains, delivering an estimated 82 horsepower and 18 ft-lbs of torque. Despite its performance focus, it is described as a good daily driver cam provided a proper tune is applied. The camshaft is noted for its choppy idle characteristic.
