This camshaft utilizes three distinct cam designs, each meticulously crafted to deliver substantial horsepower increases and a wide, usable torque curve. Featuring an aggressive profile with early intake valve opening and extended exhaust duration, this camshaft creates optimal valve overlap. This design results in a potent and distinctive exhaust note, signaling the enhanced power potential of the engine. It is recommended for applications that include aftermarket exhaust converters, additional rear gearing, and upgraded intake systems to maximize its performance benefits. This retro-fit hydraulic roller camshaft is suited for street/strip use, with a basic operating RPM range of 2,200-5,900 RPM. The intake duration at 0.050 inch lift is 235 degrees, and the exhaust duration is 249 degrees. It requires a minimum of 9:1 compression, a 2,500+ RPM stall speed torque converter, and performance intake and headers. Valve train upgrades are also necessary for optimal performance and reliability.
