The Chevrolet Performance hydraulic roller camshaft (14097395) is engineered for high-output engine applications, featuring a balanced intake and exhaust flow lobe pattern. With a duration at lash point of 288 degrees intake and 308 degrees exhaust, and 2-3 degrees of overlap, this camshaft is designed to provide significant bottom-end torque, making it a great upgrade for daily driven vehicles. This camshaft is specifically recommended as an upgrade for 1996-2000 Chevy/GMC trucks equipped with the L31 Vortec 350 Engine. It is also suitable for applications such as the 350 Ram Jet and the 383 truck engine when used with 1.5 ratio rocker arms. While this camshaft enhances low-end torque, some users have noted that its overlap can lead to erratic idling.
