The Kelford 8-TX276HL camshaft is a high-lift camshaft engineered for demanding track racing applications on Mitsubishi 4G63 DOHC engines. This camshaft set is constructed using advanced, high-grade materials, ensuring superior durability and reliability under extreme conditions. It boasts an advertised duration of 276 degrees on the intake and 272 degrees on the exhaust, with a substantial lift of 12.50mm for the intake and 12.00mm for the exhaust. Designed for high-performance use, the 8-TX276HL camshaft is recommended for engines operating at up to 30lb of boost and capable of reaching 9000 RPM. To achieve optimal performance and reliability with these camshafts, it is essential to use Kelford's recommended valve springs. This specific camshaft is noted as discontinued, with a recommendation to consider the 272R or 278 models as alternatives. While primarily designed for the Evolution VIII (2003-2005 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII), it can be fitted to Evo 4-7 models, but requires modification or swapping of the cam angle sensor trigger, specifically the exhaust cam trigger cylinder. The Evo 8 uses an M12 bolt, while the 4-7 models use an M8 bolt. Kelford does offer specific camshafts for the Evo 4-7, though these typically have a 2-4 month lead time.
