This Melling MC1429 Camshaft will delete the Active Fuel Management (AFM), also known as Displacement-on-Demand (DOD) system on the GM LS-based L83 truck engine ECOTEC3 5.3 Liter V8. Non-AFM lifters and lifter guides or an AFM/DOD delete kit must be used.
