Camshaft Bolts

The ARP Cam Bolt Kit (256-1001) is engineered to provide a reliable solution for camshaft timing concerns in specific Ford modular engines. Constructed from chromoly with a black oxide finish, this kit utilizes a 12-point M12 x 1.5 bolt with a 18mm head and a 1.700-inch underhead length. These cam bolts offer increased preload clamping force, ensuring a secure and positive timing gear register. The reduced head size also facilitates easier installation and removal compared to standard bolts. This kit is available in high-performance versions with 170,000 psi tensile strength and Pro Series versions with 190,000 psi tensile strength. It is important to note that one bolt is required per cam, and this specific kit will not fit 3-valve engines. The ARP 256-1001 is compatible with a range of Ford vehicles including the Cougar, Crown Victoria, E-series, Expedition, Explorer, F-150, F-250, Grand Marquis, Lobo, Mustang, and Thunderbird from various model years within the 1990s and 2000s.
