The Kelford 194-C camshaft is engineered for the Toyota 4A-GE 20-valve engine, targeting performance enthusiasts looking for enhanced power. With an advertised duration of 284 degrees for the intake and 278 degrees for the exhaust, and net valve lifts of 9.30mm (intake) and 8.50mm (exhaust), these cams are designed to maximize lobe area on small bucket engines. The duration at 0.1mm lift is specified as 284 degrees for the intake and 278 degrees for the exhaust, while the duration at 1mm lift is 248 degrees (intake) and 242 degrees (exhaust). The suggested centerline for the intake is variable, and 105 degrees for the exhaust. These racing camshafts are recommended for slightly modified engines and are suitable for circuit racing or rally applications when paired with a close-ratio gearbox. Kelford suggests deleting the VVT on the intake side and utilizing adjustable gears for fixed timing. The recommended valve clearance for the intake is 0.25mm (set cold). Compatible valve spring kit is KVS51B. Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle complies with local laws for road use.
