The Nissan 23731-JA11B is a genuine factory-engineered camshaft position sensor designed to restore precise ignition timing and engine management. This sensor is compatible with a wide range of Nissan vehicles produced between 2006 and 2025, including the 350Z (2006-2008), Altima (2007-2018), GT-R (2009-2024), Maxima (2009-2023), Murano (2008-2024), Pathfinder (2013-2025), Quest (2011-2017), Rogue (2008-2020), Sentra SE-R/Spec V (2007-2012), and the 2023 Nissan Z. It is a dual-position compatible component used for both left and right sensor locations depending on engine configuration. Installation varies significantly by engine type. On four-cylinder models, the sensor is typically located at the top of the engine on the driver's side. On V6 engines, two sensors are situated at the extreme driver's side end of each valve cover. Replacing the sensor on the rear cylinder bank of a V6 requires the removal of the intake manifold collector to access the unit. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct sensor alignment and connector seating.
