The Tomei Timing Chain Tensioner (TCT) camshaft release tool is required when changing the cams on your Evo X. The stock Mitsubishi tool makes the job impossible alone. Tomei's revision utilizes a screw hole on the top of the head deck surface to lock the TCT tool into position, freeing up a hand for the task.
