The Canformance CANTCU-1 is a standalone CAN-based transmission controller engineered to integrate modern 8HP and DCT transmissions into various project vehicles. The unit retains the OEM transmission control module, eliminating the risk of damaging hardware through soldering, and features a built-in flasher for unlocking transmission immobilizers. This controller supports a wide range of transmissions, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation BMW 8HP (F-Series & G-Series) and all BMW DCT transmissions. It also commonly supports other makes' 8HP transmissions such as Dodge, Maxus, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, and Land Rover. The CANTCU-1 is compatible with over 40 ECUs, including popular options like MaxxECU, Emtron, Motec, Haltech, ECUMaster, and AEM Infinity 5 Series. Installation involves basic wiring and connection to the transmission's CAN-bus or digital inputs. The included manual provides detailed schematics and guidance for transmission and shifter installation, as well as connector pinning. The CANTCU system also includes a Configurator software for PC, allowing users to fine-tune parameters, monitor live data, and manage firmware updates for precise control and optimization.
