The Polar FIS Customizable Engine Data Display is a plug-and-play device that delivers detailed vehicle parameters directly to your car's MFA/FIS screen. By plugging inline to the Body Control Module, it accesses data from the CAN-BUS system, providing real-time information and eliminating the need for numerous aftermarket gauges cluttering your dash. This 2016 Edition features a black plastic case and KESSY Range Extended functionality for vehicles with keyless entry and engine start. Over 40 parameters are accessible, with the ability to customize up to five screens, each displaying specific data points. The system displays true real-time information, pulling data before factory algorithms are applied, such as the actual speed versus the displayed speedometer reading. Installation is straightforward as the Polar Advanced FIS installs itself in the gateway, eliminating the need for diagnostic software post-installation. Control is managed via the multi-function steering wheel or wiper stalk. Features include the ability to customize displayed parameters, set convenience blinker counts (up to 10), activate automatic passenger mirror tilt for parking, and enable hidden vehicle functions previously requiring specialized software. It also supports TV-Free in Motion for passenger entertainment and allows for customization of steering wheel keys and wiper lever functions. Important Fitment Note: Audi models require a vehicle equipped with a multi-function steering wheel to navigate the Polar FIS configuration menus. This unit does not fit (2011-2014 S, SE, SEL and TDI) Jetta Sedans. Additionally, it is crucial to switch away from the active Polar FIS screen or turn it off when performing ECU flashes or engine scans, as both systems utilize the CANBUS and the Polar FIS can interfere with the process.
