The PRL Motorsports Helix Air Oil Separator addresses the issue of crankcase blowby gases in modern turbocharged engines. These gases, normally recirculated through the factory PCV system, carry oil vapor, fuel, and moisture that can degrade intake manifold cleanliness, lead to carbon buildup on intake valves, lower fuel octane, and increase detonation risk. At the heart of the PRL Helix AOS is a unique internal helix design that generates controlled centrifugal force. As blowby gases flow through the separator, heavier oil droplets, fuel, and moisture are flung towards the canister walls, where they condense and collect. The cleaned air is then safely routed back into the intake system, maintaining closed-loop operation. Constructed for durability and performance, the PRL Helix Air Oil Separator features a CNC machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum canister with a hard-anodized finish, available in Black or Silver. It is complemented by a laser-cut and CNC-bent 304 stainless steel mounting bracket. The system incorporates custom-molded, reinforced rubber hoses, billet aluminum fittings, a billet check valve, and Viton O-rings, ensuring excellent chemical resistance and long-term reliability in the engine bay.
