The Blaupunkt BREMEN SQR46 DAB car radio combines classic aesthetics with modern features. It boasts a Blaupunkt Codem IV high-end world tuner with FM (RDS) and AM reception, alongside a built-in DAB+ digital tuner for superior signal quality. The unit offers extensive media playback options, including audio from USB/SDHC (up to 32GB) supporting MP3 and WMA formats. Connectivity is a strong point, with built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling (HFP, PBAP) and audio streaming (A2DP, AVRCP) via Twin-Connect. It also features two USB ports, a front Aux-in, and a programmable steering wheel control input. For audio customization, it includes a 3-band semi-parametric equalizer with sound presets, X-Bass functionality, 4-channel preamp-out (4V), and a separate Sub-Out. The amplifier delivers 4 x 50 Watt max. power. The radio also offers Vario Color illumination for both display and buttons, a fixed front panel, and permanent memory for settings. Installation is made easier by its short mounting depth, which is ideal for classic cars or vehicles with shortened mounting bays. However, potential buyers should note that an ISO plug may be needed if the vehicle has bare wires, and this is available separately. For later models equipped with a fold-down flap, the knob may protrude further than the original, potentially preventing the flap from closing.
