Carbon-D Clutch Kit

The Exedy Hyper Carbon-D clutch system represents the next generation of clutch technology, developed to provide ultimate comfort and streetability. This superior engineering results in an ideal clutch engagement position, increased clamp loads, and reduced pedal effort, making for a more comfortable driving experience. The unique carbon fiber friction material allows for comfortable half-engaged clutch operation and responsive gear changes. The low inertia design, where a carbon clutch disc weighs one-third of a metallic disc, utilizes a high friction coefficient Hyper Carbon disc for quicker shift response. This low inertia design synchronizes the transmission in a shorter time, reducing shift changing delays and decreasing the load on the synchronizer. Semi-carbon clutches offer lightweight construction, high heat resistance, and a stable friction coefficient. EXEDY carbon clutches are tuned to improve engagement feel at lower temperatures and provide ideal engagement for spirited driving at high temperatures. This twin-disc clutch configuration is SFI 1.2/1.5 certified, ensuring its suitability for competitive motorsports. The EXEDY Hyper Carbon-D is specifically designed for the 1999-2002 Nissan Skyline GTR with an L6 engine.
