The Schmitt Marine Carbon Fiber Primus Wheel with Knob is a 13.5" steering wheel designed for marine applications. It features a Sanntoprene finger grip and a 3/4" tapered shaft with a carbon fiber nut. The Primus wheel is constructed from cast stainless steel, including an integrated ring for enhanced strength. It is NMMA type-accepted and CE certified, exceeding ABYC P-22 and ISO 8848 standards. The 316L stainless steel is polished to a mirror-like finish, offering superior corrosion resistance and minimal maintenance. The rim has a 1-1/8" thickness to reduce hand fatigue. UV-resistant black Santoprene rubber provides all-weather control and comfort, with finger grips for a solid hold. The design extends slightly under the spoke junction for an ergonomic fit. The wheel is available in three spoke configurations: slotted with decorative Santoprene inserts, open slots, or solid. It includes an optional stainless steel control knob, installed 3/4" from the rim edge. The knob features glass ball bearings for corrosion resistance and free-spinning. The Primus wheel incorporates the industry-standard 3/4" tapered hub.
