Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake

The Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake is engineered to enhance the performance and aesthetics of BMW M340i and M440i models. It replaces the restrictive factory airbox and noise-reducing intake resonator with a sophisticated semi-open intake system. This intake is designed to maximize airflow, boasting a 58% increase over the stock system. It features a larger volume airbox, which is 60% larger than the original, and a custom, free-flowing filter that offers a 40% increase in filter area (from 82 in² to 115 in²). The design includes a secondary inlet to effectively fill the enlarged airbox without increasing turbo inlet temperatures, a common issue with some open-air intakes. This balance was achieved through extensive testing to ensure optimal performance and air intake temperatures under various driving conditions. Users can expect noticeable improvements in throttle response and an increase in peak power, with documented gains of up to +9 WHP and +8 ft-lbs of torque on stock vehicles. The removal of the intake resonator also allows for a more aggressive and sporty induction sound, making the turbo spool and blow-off valve more audible. The intake system itself is constructed from premium carbon fiber, significantly enhancing the under-hood appearance compared to the factory components. Installation is described as quick and easy. This intake is compatible with all G2X MX40i models, whether they are equipped with factory bracing or not. It is important to note that this product is not for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled vehicle, as per the California Air Resources Board regulations.
