The Armaspeed carbon fiber cold air intake system is engineered to enhance the performance of the Toyota GR Yaris 2021. After analyzing the stock intake, Armaspeed found that power delivery was less pronounced below 3000 RPM, often falling into a low-torque range. This system aims to provide a performance bonus without sacrificing low-speed torque. Constructed from carbon fiber, the airbox features an enlarged connector and is paired with a high-flow air filter. This design increases the internal airbox volume by 40%, which helps to mitigate heat absorption from the engine bay, a common issue with open-design intakes. Unlike some aftermarket options that remove the stock airbox, Armaspeed retains the original variable valve mechanism to ensure a balanced power delivery across the RPM range. Installation is straightforward as it's a direct bolt-on design and does not require any modification to the vehicle or an ECU remapping.
