The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood is an OEM-style replacement hood designed for the 2004-2008 GMC Canyon 2DR and 4DR models. It is constructed from Grade-A carbon fiber using a two-part design and a vacuum infusion process, resulting in a part that is 10-20% lighter than previous models. The hood features a high-gloss finish with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating.

This hood comes with a VIS badge of authenticity. Hood pins are required for installation. These products are intended for off-road use only, unless otherwise permitted by local laws.

The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood offers an OEM-style upgrade for the 2004-2008 GMC Canyon, available for both 2-door and 4-door configurations. Crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, this hood is manufactured using a two-part construction design and the advanced Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.). This method produces parts that are 10-20% lighter than previous iterations while enhancing durability. The top layer of carbon fiber is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating for a brilliant high-gloss appearance. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer, significantly improving the product’s structural integrity. The fit was reported as spot-on by a customer with a 2006 GMC Canyon. Another customer noted that the hood not only looks great but also contributes to a more responsive feel during turns. Installation of this hood requires hood pins, and it is intended for off-road use only, unless local and state laws permit otherwise. The product includes a VIS badge of authenticity.
