Constructed from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, this hood utilizes a vacuum-infused single-mold process for optimal strength-to-weight ratio and durability. The top layer is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with a UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high gloss, resistance to the elements. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer, significantly enhancing the product's structural integrity, while the edges are hand-smoothed for a quality finish. This cowl induction hood is custom-made to fit specific vehicle applications, ensuring a precise fit and a commanding presence on the road. The VIS Racing cowl induction hood comes with a VIS badge of authenticity, confirming its genuine origin. Professional installation is recommended for this hood. Additionally, the manufacturer strongly recommends the use of hood pins for added security and proper function; these are sold separately.
