The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood offers an OEM-style upgrade for your 2010-2014 Toyota Prius 2-door models, providing both aesthetic enhancement and potential performance benefits. Crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, this hood utilizes a robust two-part construction design. The top layer is bonded to the hood surface with a high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear Poly Shield coating that provides UV protection and a lasting high-gloss appearance. Its structural integrity is further enhanced by a one-piece, smooth underside shell, with all edges meticulously hand-smoothed for a quality finish. In 2014, VIS Racing introduced the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which uses a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable. This manufacturing process is being transitioned across their carbon fiber product line. This hood is specifically designed to fit Toyota Prius 2DR models from 2010 to 2014. It is also noted to be compatible with Prius C, Plug-In, and V models from the same model years. The lighter weight of carbon fiber can contribute to improved fuel efficiency, a significant consideration for Prius owners, while also giving the vehicle a distinct sporty edge.
