It is constructed from Grade-A carbon fiber material with a high-gloss, UV-protective polyurethane coating. The hood features a two-part construction with a smooth underside shell for enhanced structural integrity.

The VIS Racing carbon fiber hood offers an OEM-style aesthetic for 1999-2004 Ford Mustang 2-door vehicles. Manufactured from Grade-A carbon fiber and bonded with high-grade epoxy resin, it is finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating for a durable high-gloss look. The hood's structural integrity is enhanced by a one-piece, smooth underside shell, and hand-smoothed edges ensure a quality finish. VIS Racing has refined its manufacturing process with the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which produces parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable. This process is being implemented across their carbon fiber product line. Each VIS Carbon Fiber Hood comes with a badge of authenticity. Due to the nature of intended use, hood pins are required for installation. This product is intended for off-road use unless local and state laws specify otherwise.
