The VIS Racing Evo Style Carbon Fiber Hood offers a distinct racing aesthetic for your vehicle, crafted from premium Grade A carbon fiber. This hood is manufactured using a two-part design: a top layer of carbon fiber bonded with high-grade epoxy resin, finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high-gloss look. The underside features a one-piece shell for enhanced structural integrity, and the edges are hand-smoothed for a refined finish. Designed for a specific vehicle fitment, this hood is custom-made for the 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse. It features a unique Evo style with mesh grills covering the vents. Professional installation is recommended, and modification of factory hinges may be required for proper fitment. The manufacturer also strongly recommends the use of hood pins, which are sold separately. It is important to note that aftermarket parts do not offer the same fitment as OEM factory parts. Test fitting all body kit parts before any modification or painting is crucial, as any altering will void returns, exchanges, and warranties. Adjustment of latches, hooks, and brackets may be necessary to achieve a factory-like fit. These are standard procedures for aftermarket fiberglass and carbon fiber products, and minor gaps or trimming required before painting are not considered defects. Ensure that any body shop performing work is skilled in handling aftermarket fiberglass products.
