Carbon Fiber Intake System

The Integrated Engineering carbon fiber intake system is meticulously engineered for the Audi B9/B9.5 SQ5 3.0T, aiming to enhance turbo and engine efficiency while minimizing intake air temperatures (IATs). The system boasts a unique one-piece, high-gloss genuine carbon fiber construction, offering superior heat resistance and maximizing internal volume for a larger air supply and smooth flow. Its seamless design ensures a leak-free airbox without common issues like rubbing noises or parts working loose. The integrated velocity stack smoothly transitions airflow from the massive 5" air filter to the turbo inlet, minimizing turbulence and drag for excellent laminar properties. This design supports high inertia flow, crucial for performance. Performance gains of up to 19HP and 21 ft-lbs are achievable on tuned engines, with even greater potential when paired with an optional IE turbo inlet. The intake system flows up to 44.2% more air than stock, and when combined with the IE turbo inlet and a hybrid turbo setup, airflow can increase by up to 57.6%. The design utilizes multiple pressure zones, drawing air from both the front grille (ram air effect) and under the intake via filter plate louvers, ensuring a consistent and ample air supply across the entire filter. Beyond performance, this intake system dramatically enhances the auditory experience, amplifying the distinct turbocharger spool, engine throttle, and diverter valve sounds. All stainless hardware is included. Note that hybrid turbo adapter rings are sold separately from the optional turbo inlet upgrade.
