The Unitronic Carbon Fiber Intake System is meticulously engineered for the VW Mk8 GTI, specifically models featuring the 2.0TSI EVO4 engine. It also works to reduce intake air temperatures and minimize turbo lag, providing a more engaging driving experience. Constructed with premium materials, the intake features a 2/2 twill prepreg carbon fiber weave for a lightweight, durable, and resistant airbox, cured in an autoclave for structural integrity and finished with a UV and heat resistant clear coat. The system includes a proprietary 3-inch dry cotton filter engineered for maximum airflow and filtration. Multi-ply silicone hoses ensure heat resistance and durability, while stainless steel hardware prevents rust. The airbox is designed with water drainage provisions. Installation is straightforward, utilizing OEM mounting locations and taking approximately one hour. A difficulty rating of 1 indicates minimal tools and experience are required. The system includes a carbon fiber air box, carbon fiber air duct, a 3-inch powdercoated aluminum inner intake tube, a multi-ply turbo inlet tube, the proprietary air filter, and a hardware kit. This intake system enhances the sound of your turbocharger and diverter valve, offering a more audible experience. This intake is compatible with the VW Golf/GTI Mk8 (2022-2024) and Mk8.5 (2025+) GTI models equipped with the 2.0T Evo4 engine.
