Carbon Fiber Intake System with Turbo Inlet

The Unitronic Carbon Fiber Intake System and Turbo Inlet is engineered for the B9 and B9.5 Audi RS 4 and RS 5 models equipped with the 2.9TFSI EA839 engine. Constructed from 2/2 twill prepreg carbon fiber using autoclave methods, this system boasts a striking appearance and robust durability. It supports both original turbochargers and hybrid turbochargers through the use of modular adapter rings, available in 48mm for stock turbos or 51mm for TTE720 hybrid turbos. The system includes EPDM couplers, which allow for engine movement and provide ample tolerance, unlike traditional rigid silicone couplers. Installation is straightforward, designed as a direct bolt-on with OEM mounting locations and grommets, making the process simpler. The total installation time is estimated to be between one to two hours. Unitronic engineers utilized CFD analysis and extensive testing to optimize the system's efficiency, ensuring smooth volumetric transitions and maximizing the use of available engine bay space. This improved airflow allows the turbochargers to operate more efficiently and with less stress, potentially leading to enhanced reliability and improved throttle response.
