The Spoon Sports Carbon Intake Air Duct is engineered to optimize engine performance for the Honda Civic Type-R FK8 by ensuring a cooler and more stable airflow to the air cleaner box. This two-part system consists of an FRP air scoop, which mounts within the front grille to prevent hot air accumulation in the engine bay, and an Air Duct Plate constructed from Prepreg Dry Carbon/Kevlar. This design is particularly beneficial in situations like low-speed corners where the stock intake might draw heated air from the radiator. By ensuring a direct and unaffected flow of cool air, the Spoon Sports Carbon Intake Air Duct contributes to improved torque across all RPMs, making the car easier to drive, and can lead to better fuel efficiency. The product has undergone rigorous testing, including use in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill race, where its effectiveness was evident in the car's performance and race results. The air duct is compatible with both the stock bumper and the SPOON Aero Bumper. It is specifically designed for the Honda Civic Type-R FK8 with K20C engines, fitting models from September 2017 to June 2021. However, please note that compatibility is stated as being for JDM cars only, and fitment is not guaranteed.
