The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber OEM Hood is designed to enhance both the performance and aesthetics of your 2002-2005 Honda Civic Si HB. Constructed from premium, high-grade carbon fiber, this hood offers significant weight reduction compared to the factory component, contributing to improved handling dynamics and overall vehicle performance. The material is finished with a UV-coated, high-gloss clear coat to ensure a durable and striking appearance that resists fading. This one-piece hood features an undersiding with rolled edges for a clean finish. The improved airflow facilitated by this hood can contribute to better engine cooling. The manufacturer specifies that hood pins are required for secure installation, and the product is intended for off-road use only. Installation of this aftermarket part is recommended to be performed by an experienced custom body shop. Modifications such as cutting, trimming, filling, or sanding may be necessary to ensure proper fitment, as is common with non-OEM parts. It is advised to test fit all body kit parts before any modifications or painting. The hood ships unpainted, though the carbon fiber finish itself does not require painting. Additionally, this product is subject to California Proposition 65 warnings regarding cancer and reproductive harm.
