The Karbonius CSL Style Airbox is a meticulously crafted replica of the iconic CSL airbox, designed specifically for the BMW M3 E46. Constructed from 100% prepreg carbon fibre and cured in an autoclave, this airbox boasts a lightweight yet incredibly strong build. This airbox offers several enhancements over the genuine BMW CSL unit. The trumpets are made from carbon fibre, reducing weight further, and feature a modified diameter of 51.5 mm (compared to the original 50 mm) with a rounded front for improved airflow. A specific redesign of the 6th trumpet aims to optimize air intake, contributing to a reported 1hp gain. The interior surfaces are smoothed and varnished to minimize air turbulence. Installation requires a REMAP (engine tuning) and professional installation is highly recommended as instructions are not included. Additional parts may be needed for a complete setup. It is not necessary to perforate or cut any parts, but changing several original parts may be required. The kit includes the airbox, a bracket for the ventilation valve, and a certificate of authenticity. An air filter is not included but is available separately. The product comes with a 5-year warranty.
