The VIS Racing carbon fiber trunk is a premium aftermarket body component engineered specifically for 1996-2000 Honda Civic 2-door models. Manufactured using a two-part construction, it features a Grade-A carbon fiber top layer bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective Poly Shield polyurethane coating for a long-lasting gloss. The underside incorporates a smooth, one-piece shell fused to the top to increase overall structural strength, with hand-smoothed edges ensuring a consistent finish. Since 2014, VIS Racing has utilized the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) for this trunk line. By using a single-mold vacuum during fabrication, these parts achieve a weight reduction of 10-20% compared to previous versions while simultaneously improving durability. Each unit includes an official VIS badge of authenticity to verify its quality tier. Due to the nature of these aftermarket components, hood pins are required for proper installation and safety.
