Overview

The VIS Racing carbon fiber trunk is an OEM-style replacement for the 2003-2007 Mitsubishi EVO 8 and EVO 9 4-door models. It is constructed from Grade-A carbon fiber material with a UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high gloss finish.

A two-part construction design is utilized, with the top layer bonded using high-grade epoxy resin. A smooth, one-piece underside shell enhances structural integrity, and hand-smoothed edges ensure a quality finish. The manufacturing process has been updated to include the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) for lighter and more durable parts.

The VIS Racing carbon fiber trunk offers an OEM-style upgrade designed specifically for the 2003-2007 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII and IX 4-door models. Constructed from Grade-A carbon fiber material, this trunk lid features a two-part design. The top layer is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and protected by an ultra-clear, UV-resistant polyurethane coating for a lasting high-gloss finish. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer, significantly enhancing the product's structural integrity. The edges are meticulously hand-smoothed to ensure a flawless appearance all around. VIS Racing has further refined its manufacturing process with the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), resulting in parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable than previous iterations. Each VIS Carbon Fiber Trunk comes with a badge of authenticity. Due to the intended uses of these products, hood pins are required. It is important to note that these products are intended for off-road use only, unless otherwise permitted by local and state laws.
