The VIS Carbon Fiber Trunk offers an OEM-style upgrade for the 2011-2015 Cadillac CTS-V 2-door. This trunk is crafted from Grade-A carbon fiber material, employing a robust two-part construction. The exterior layer is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating for a durable, high-gloss appearance. The underside features a one-piece shell, fused to the top layer to enhance structural integrity, and the edges are hand-smoothed for a quality finish. VIS has enhanced its manufacturing process with the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which uses a single-mold vacuum. This results in parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable than previous methods. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks come with a VIS badge of authenticity. Hood pins are required due to the intended uses of these products, and they are generally intended for off-road use unless local laws specify otherwise. Compatibility is specific to the 2011-2015 Cadillac CTS-V 2-door model. It is crucial to confirm your exact body style, as trunks do not interchange between sedan, coupe, or hatchback styles. Most aftermarket trunks utilize OEM mounting points and existing hinges. However, due to the lightweight nature of carbon fiber trunks, lighter gas struts may be necessary. Factory wiring harnesses, brake lights, and license plate light assemblies are typically accepted, with adapters sometimes included for non-standard configurations.
