Carbon Intake System

The Infinity Design Carbon Intake represents a radical redesign focused on maximizing airflow for performance vehicles. It incorporates a large expanding tube with an integrated MAF housing, leading into a substantially larger airbox featuring an 80% enlarged opening. This design complements the included signature double cone air filter, which boasts a large surface area and a 175mm opening. Beyond the primary intake system, an optional standalone turbo inlet tube is available to further increase volume and smooth airflow into the turbocharger, reducing turbulence. The development process involved extensive prototyping and CFD analysis, revealing that this approach results in less turbulence and significantly increased airflow compared to the OEM system. Dyno testing has shown gains of up to 17 HP and 20 ft-lb of torque with a factory tune, alongside vastly improved throttle response and low-end torque. Intake air temperature testing indicates that the Infinity Design intake matches the OEM system's performance in maintaining ambient temperatures during spirited driving. The package includes the inlet tube with MAF boss, air filter housing, bespoke air filter, clamps, flex hoses, and a fitting kit. This intake is specifically designed to fit the 2023+ Honda Civic Type R FL5 and the 2023+ Acura Integra Type S DE5.
