The RKP carbon trunk is a premium lightweight upgrade engineered specifically for the BMW F82 M4. Developed in collaboration with Alpha-N Performance, this component combines German manufacturing precision with a motorsport-inspired design. The trunk features an integrated spoiler profile that enhances rear-end aesthetics while contributing to improved airflow, eliminating the need for an additional add-on spoiler. Manufactured from pre-preg carbon fiber in a 2x2 twill weave, the trunk is designed to offer approximately 60% weight savings over the factory metal trunk lid, contributing to optimized vehicle dynamics. This component is delivered in a raw carbon fiber finish and requires professional paint preparation or a clear coat prior to installation. Because it is a performance-oriented carbon part, it does not contain fiberglass filler or heavy resin layers. Professional body shop installation is strongly recommended, as minor adjustments may be necessary to account for standard vehicle manufacturing tolerances.
