Overview

The Keihin CR Special carburetor is a legendary performance upgrade for motorcycles. These carburetors offer increased performance for stock and modified engines when paired with free-flowing exhaust and high-energy ignition systems. They are available in venturi sizes ranging from 26mm to 39mm.

Proven by numerous Super Bike wins, these carburetors offer a significant performance increase over stock production units. They feature chrome-plated hollow slides that control smoothbore venturis, contributing to their superior performance. Available venturi sizes include 26, 29, 31, 33, 35, and 39 mm. Each set typically includes a rack of four carburetors, mounting spigots with o-rings, velocity stacks, and stack covers, often with a basic jetting setup for your specific engine. To achieve best results and maximum horsepower gains, Keihin recommends pairing these carburetors with a performance exhaust system and an electronic ignition system. Additionally, new intake manifolds (carb boots) are recommended to prevent air leaks. All Keihin CR Special carburetors must be used with a push/pull type throttle. Some specific applications may require minor modifications, such as shortening a throttle cable, or may necessitate petcock relocation. It is important to note that racing carburetors are legal in California only for racing (off-road) vehicles.
