Carli Suspension's CS-DLA3-03 Long Arm System for the Dodge Ram 2500 / Ram 3500 is engineered for exceptional front wheel travel and unparalleled strength, this arm system sets a new standard for performance. The upper and lower arms exceed factory control arm length by over 50%, while offering meticulously designed tire clearance, robust ¼” construction, full-length internal gussets, and effortless bolt-on installation. The system also incorporates clearance considerations for factory body mounts, solidifying its position as the strongest and most refined long arm system available. Fully serviceable joints at the ends facilitate fluid articulation, ensuring minimal binding and near-frictionless movement. This results in an optimal ride quality that remains consistent over years of reliable use. While the Ram Long-Arms are compatible with existing Carli Systems equipped with King Shocks (excluding 2.0” shock equipped systems), they provide enhanced shock compliance and reduced bottom-out resistance. This is due to the greater leverage on the front suspension resulting from the rearward shifted arm pivots. For customers with Pintop 2.5, Performance 2.5, and Unchained 3.5” short-arm setups, shocks can be revalved. However, the full extended travel potential of the Long Arm System will not be fully harnessed. The elongated, flatter arms ensure a smoother, more linear travel stroke and improved 37” tire clearance from the cab-corner. With minimal rear axle swing during suspension unloading, we recommend using wheels no wider than 9” with 4.5” backspace for 37”x12.5” tires, necessitating body and bumper trimming. For more aggressive tire selections, 4.0-4.5” backspace will require significant trimming of the factory bumper and fender. To accommodate such tires, it is advisable to invest in front fiberglass flared fenders and an aftermarket bumper with increased tire clearance, providing ample coverage for 37”x13.5” tires.
