Carrillo Porsche 993/996 Turbo Pro-H 3/8 WMC Bolt Connecting Rod (Single Rod)

Carrillo connecting rods are manufactured from a proprietary chrome, nickel, moly, vanadium alloy that meets all VAR (vacuum arc re-melt ASTM standards). The heat treatment is validated by both the supplier and an independent metallurgist, confirming the desired physical and chemical properties of the steel. All heat treat processes are via a mar-aged operation, resulting in an Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) of 195,000 psi with a yield of 182,000 psi, while maintaining critical elements of low notch-sensitivity and ductility. All connecting rods are manufactured from an oversized forging, ensuring proper grain flow and the removal of potential inclusions or surface conversions from the forging process. Critical CNC machines at Carrillo are equipped with probing to accurately validate dimensional integrity. Each part undergoes magnaflux testing at least twice and Rockwell testing to validate the heat treat procedure. A final shotpeen operation completes the part. Carrillo employs fasteners jointly designed by Carrillo, using H-11 tool steel (220,000 UTS) and Multiphase TM (285,000 UTS). All fasteners feature a patented thread design and the highest dimensional integrity in the industry, with each lot destructively sample tested for ultimate tensile strength and fatigue.
