Description

The Mahle Original 40276CP.030 is a premium piston ring set designed for L6 engines. This set is .030 inch oversize and features a plasma-moly top ring facing and a chrome-plated oil ring facing. The rings are constructed with cast iron for the upper rings and stainless steel for the oil ring.

Application notes specify axial height dimensions for the upper compression ring (UCR) and lower compression ring (LCR) as 5/64 inch, and 3/16 inch for the oil ring (OCR). These rings are designed with a shallow groove type and are pre-lapped for immediate seating, virtually eliminating break-in time. Optimized ring tension, materials, and coatings are used to reduce friction and extend engine life.
